For my final project in my drawing class we had to take a photo of a house within and draw it using a grid technique. The art department at my high school puts out a calendar every year and 13 house drawings are selected out of all the drawing classes to be put in the calendar. (One for every month plus one on the cover) I really tried hard to the best of my ability to get a shot at this drawing going into the calendar, and I won't know if it did until the end of this school year.

This project was a pain in the you-know-what! This drawing drove me to the brink of insanity since I tend to be a bit of a perfectionist. I started the project in November, and I didn't finish it until January 7th. (I had to get an extension) But I'm so glad it's done. And I love it. Blood went into this drawing.

I also got the chance to actually see and go inside this house too! A freakish chain of events led my to this very house. I gave the owners of the house a good quality copy of the drawing for them to have. They were absolutely thrilled. It made me so happy. Turns out the house is over 100 years old. It was beautiful inside!

Of course the picture I took of it does not do this drawing justice! It's absolutely beautiful in person. I just wish I had a scanner.
